About Stratos
Stratos AI & Robotics Ltd is a Nigerian robotics company based in Enugu. We build autonomous security robots for the sites that matter most at night.
Why we exist
Facilities need constant, verifiable coverage at night. Manual guarding alone can’t deliver it: people get tired, one post can’t see the whole site, and incidents are discovered the next morning.
We are building Patroller to close that gap: robots that patrol every night, record what they see, and get the right people involved in seconds. We design for Nigerian conditions from the start: heat, rain, dust, power cuts and patchy connectivity.

The 6-month build
Month 1: Procure and design
Confirm parts against real supplier quotes, order components, design the chassis and camera mast.
Month 2: Assemble
Build the chassis, wiring and power system, and bring the motors and sensors to life.
Month 3: Patrol for real
Move the proven simulation software onto the robot: mapping a real site and patrolling it on its own.
Month 4: Detect and alert
Person detection with the night-vision camera, site rules, and push, SMS and offline alerts to phones.
Month 5: Dock and control
Self-charging at the dock, the operator dashboard and manual takeover.
Month 6: Prove it
Repeated night patrols at a controlled Enugu site, with measured results and live demos for pilot partners.
Chinonso Nwankwo
Founder
Computer Science, Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), with a background in machine learning. Chinonso took Patroller from concept through every simulation phase: mapping, patrol, person detection, the decision engine and a prototype alert dashboard.
For the hardware build, Stratos is bringing in mechanical and electrical engineers on contract for fabrication, wiring and safety review.
